Instructors
The instructors at the Solar Andina School are experienced disciples with many years of spiritual practice and accompanying pilgrims of Pachamama.
With a solid base, each instructor is able to lead you by the hand into our various possibilities of awakening your deep being to become a priestess, a healer of this earth.
Nación Pachamama
This movement comes from the root of righteous indignation at seeing our mother earth, Pachamama, devastated by policies and businesses that do not take into account the future of our planet, which is alive and alert.
It emerges as a peaceful but clear song of unity among thinkers, artists and workers, and inspired by the luminous message of the abuelos and abuelas of the Andes.
We feel that the way is to unite in a single fist the just indignation, but also hope, which is like the sun of the People, shining on our path, to give birth to a new cosmovision of unity of the well-intentioned, of all colors and languages.
This movement of consciousness has walked for many years, serving and raising awareness about the danger that arises from the lack of care and delicacy with the living beings of Pachamama. But the urgent clamor of the peoples of the trees, of the rivers, of the ecosystems of all the forests, has imposed on us the task of creating a unitive and intelligent proposal, so that among all those who are sensitive to the dangers of the unconsciousness of mega-businesses, we unite in one single eco-spirituality, and move forward peacefully, in a revolution of communication, of ways, and of bonds with planetary life.
This walking together is an attempt by men and women who are concerned about life, about the broken links between nature and culture, and so an understanding is needed between East and West, between intellect and art, between academic philosophy and the living poetry of the movement, putting everything at the service of forging an awareness of the historical moment we are living through.
We are aware that we are not the creators but rather those who continue the struggle for life that comes from the original peoples, and this aspiration will surely be followed by future generations, who we trust will stir the consciousness of the planet's seekers so that they care for and understand, with intelligence and creativity, how we can live in harmony and abundant peace with all the living species of Pachamama.
We present to society a mature thought and intention in the face of the tremendous challenges of our planetary life, in its ecological sense but also in its existential sense, aware that we cannot revolutionize our consumer culture without first changing the way we express our fears and anxieties. This understanding of life from an eco-spirituality is one of the aims of our movement. Understanding that we try to forge from a broad dialogue between peoples from all over the world and the human universe.
We maintain in our group feeling a poetic faith, as Coleridge said, in the spirit of Life, which we call Pachamama, as the inspirer of reason and action. Thus, knowing that we are part of a Whole, the men and women of the movement are trying to give a coherent and solid answer to this enigma: either we change as a species, or the planet will take us out of circulation, as it did before with species that were not ecologically sustainable.
This understanding is not a belief, but a reality that governments and the academic world are slowly, very slowly accepting.
Here, in this and other eco-spiritual movements, Tupac, Bartolina Sisa, and other libertarian brothers who fought for Mother Earth are shouting. There is so much hope dancing in hearts that have not grown old in cynicism and consumerism. People are trying to heal so many social and planetary wounds, and we, small urban Indians, have to help this response-healing of a confused and alienated society, and of an unbalanced Pachamama unjustly abused by governments and merchants who do not understand or do not want to understand that what we do to Mother Earth, we do to our present and future families.
We are common inhabitants of these pampas, and we are dreaming and creating, with intelligence and respect, actions of service to all living beings, to learn what our grandparents knew: that everything is alive, and that everything belongs to everyone.
We feel this fraternal responsibility. We feel, as a group in movement, that this journey does not begin with us, nor will it end with us, and we are conscious that we are only a symptom of the collective Soul that tries to save the human species from its own ignorance and pride.
Whether we will succeed or not, the future will tell, but we are certainly in love with the group intent on giving birth to a new Nation, the Nación Pachamama.
